I’m reviewing Joako’s blog because I think is one of the most interesting blogs of the class. He always creates attractive post about the task’s question; however, Joako writes more than that. He talks in each post about himself and always makes the connection with the task

If you ask me, Joako is amazing. I think some bloggers have to be a little like him. I mean, I believe that when we write shouldn’t forget our essences and identities. Consequently; we ought to write with our style writing, feelings and thoughts.

In the Joako’s blogs we can fin 9 wonderful posts, one of them is about nirvana that has been the best grunge band. I think that is my favorite post, because I agree with Joako about music is art, and Nirvana is like a controversial piece of art.

When I read his blog I feel the straight power. Maybe, you are thinking that I’m crazy but straightedge ideology is present in his writing, you can feel it. Well….The blog is called “Straight Power”, that so Joako.


I think Joako should focus on more punctuation, sometimes he is disorganized when he writes. He could do some pauses above all when he changes of topic. I know that is so Joako, he is fast and that is funny. Nonetheless, in a formal text he has to improve in that. He ought to write and review in his posts slowly. I believe if he reads a lot, he will get a better writing than now.



"El blog del Deniel" experience

I really feel disappointed about my writing. I think the only one way to improve in that could be write every day whatever. In my blog I was feeling so comfortable; however, when you just get marks around four, you give up. In this moment I am totally demotivated, and I want this semester finish as fast as possible.

I have to admit that I haven’t commented on my blog’s classmates as I have to do, because I don’t have enough time in class. Besides, sincerely I dislike comment when the topic is boring.

I can’t say that blog was an useless experience, we improve and practice in each class. Maybe some of us don’t get good results, but at least we learn something. I sincerely believe that I would have done better comments on the blogs. Moreover, I should have spent more time in checking it.

irresponsible tendency

First, I need to express my feelings. I really love Beatriz´s classes; what’s more, I think is the most entertaining class of language 3. However, I have to recognize that I am not doing my best. I always try to do the activities, but sometimes I forget do the homework. Besides, when I do the activities sometimes I leave in my house. I know, is my responsibility.

I think this tendency is very share with young people, when I was in the school that situation used to happen. We are free, but some people are used to follow orders from the parents or leaders.

I remembered when I started studying I was so motivated, however; throughout the time I have been disappointed about some teachers and university’s infrastructure. I think is normal feeling demotivated, we started with a lot of energies but these have been disappeared.

I think I have two excellent teachers in this moment and with the other one I don’t have problems, because I understand the straightforward book. Maybe I can discuss about her style of make class, however; I know is my responsibility to be interested in the classes. So, I know the problem is mine I have not been practiced enough.

"Chile is the winner"

I was very excited because played Chile at 07:30 a.m. I was anxious and nervous. However, the match was so confortable in the first stage. I really didn´t enjoy the match because I was waiting for the second goal, and that anxiety avoid me to enjoy the rest of the game. In the second part, I suffered too much, a lot XD. Chile had the control of balloon, however; they couldn´t score, and you know our bad luck. In France world cup, we had terrible bad luck. We couldn’t win a game, we equalized in all matches. The rivals always drew level in the last time of the games, so I thought if Chile don´t score other goal, we can finish equalized. I was nervous for that, and I supposed most Chileans should be agonizing at the final of the game.

The strengths shown by Chile were his style of play and the players’ quality. They made an excellent game, however; they couldn’t control the anxiety and nervous at the moment of make a goal, that was his principal weakness. In my opinion all players made a good match, however; I would like to see a centre forward, for example: Suazo or Paredes. We needed a centre player in the area if Chile played with one of them we could make a big difference.

Ken Robinson

This character is a creativity person that tries to change the way of teaching. His main idea is cultivate creative thought in children.
“Schools kill creativity”. This sentence is very controversial, because it offends to educational system. I think is the harsh reality, Schools control the mind of students with a lot of things. The first one is with rules, the second with theory subjects and the last one with behaviorism thoughts. I’m going to focus in the last because for me is the most important.

Schools ban and impose ideas. They don’t make critical thinking. It is a big problem because Students can’t express; consequently, education is not important for them. If they don’t understand the subjects, they feel stressed and depressed. That shouldn’t happen, I think learning have to be a good experience.

Human beings have to face different situations throughout the life, and they need to be creative. For example: You can know a lot of English grammar, but if you don’t know how to do a class, you couldn´t be a good teacher. Maybe you can be an excellent speaker, but if you don’t have creativity and pedagogy, you don’t make an interesting class.
I believe that schools should promote creative thinking. We will the next generation of teachers, so we have to develop students´ creativity.

Orlan and Leonardo Da Vinci

I consider that she is an excellent and versatile artist, because she has done a lot of art works in different areas with a variety of concepts. I had never listened about her, well… I am not a fan of art .However, I admire her ideology, but I don’t prefer look her paintings and performances because they are very weird for me.

I think her performances are good because they make an impact in the capitalism life, I think her first exhibition about being paid to give kisses was a wonderful way to get attention of the people. It changed the life of Orlan, since that moment she has been doing a lot of strange things. I think performances, exhibitionism and narcissism are good qualities of an artist. I love performances, when I was a school student I made a lot of them. I don’t see anything wrong in that I think is art, because performances get attention and make impact in people. All artworks should make the same.

My favourite paintings are from Leonardo da Vinci. I can’t choose one but I admire the secrets in da Vinci’s drawings. If you look some paintings of him you can realize of details that make the differences between a normal and enigmatic work of art. For example, “Piero della Francesca” (http://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Archivo:Piero_della_Francesca_045.jpg) in this art work some people say the clouds are similar to UFOs, I think things like that struck my attention. I’ve never seen the art of da Vinci in a museum but a chemistry teacher showed me a lot of paintings and He said unknown things about Leonardo Da Vinci.

2010 is the International Year of Biodiversity; world leaders failed to stem the decline of biodiversity

I chose that title because summarize the main problem in the ecosystem. It appeared in this news: “Carnivorous fish blamed for grebe's extinction in Madagascar” (http://www.guardian.co.uk/environment/2010/may/26/grebe-extinct-birds).

I feel so confused. I don’t know what I do when I read this kind of news about extinction, abuse animals and ecosystem problems. What I can understand is why we don’t anything significant for change the situation. I think is our responsibility to take care of the planet. We are humans, we guess we are the only animal thinking. However; we are the most destructive living being.

In this case, the problem is about the extinction of birds. If you read the title of article you know that a carnivorous fish is the blame. However; this fish didn’t use to live in this lake but humans introduced it there place so years ago.

I completely agree with the following: “world leaders failed to stem the decline of biodiversity. We cannot fail again." Humans have introduced a lot of animals where didn´t use to live, consequently; ecosystem has been changed by our actions. Besides, we can forget that contamination and global warming is our responsibility. We have to use the knowledge of the science for take care of the planet and we stop to damage it.

Chilean Education!!!!

Well.....If you ask me, I am not surprised with the article. When I was a school student, I knew that most of my teachers were bad professionals. Besides, the last year in the subject TRECH I realized of a lot of things about Chilean educational system, and I understand why the teachers are mediocre professionals. I totally agree with the article, I know that everyone can be a teacher and we can see that in international exams, schools and universities.

When I was in the school I had the same problems of education, this problem is not new. So approximately 30 years ago, my parents also had terrible pedagogies and headmasters. The most probably that situation will not change. But at least, today we need a degree for teaching but this is easy to get. However, a degree is not a synonymous of quality. In some cases is just a piece of paper.

I think the blame of our education is the government, because they transformed the learning in commerce. They sold something than important like the future of the children to people that only think in money, millionaires that never have been interested in the problems of our society.

I am going to be an excellent teacher, I am sure of that. I think if you are studying to be a professor you need improve like person and professional. I decide to make changes, because I had bad teachers in my school and I wouldn´t like that happen in the future. Like future professionals of the education, we need change the educational system; we will have a lot of responsibilities.

I think universities have to improve in their curriculums but it depends of the state role. The government should make new rules in relation with the process of create a new teacher. Firstly, PSU has to be more demanding because in pedagogy this doesn´t select, everyone can study pedagogy.

Taking all into consideration, I think we need improve by ourselves. We can´t only blame to government, if the universities don´t give us good learning we have to find that. We can progress with extra courses of grammar, phonetic and conversation. In Santiago we have a lot of opportunities, we don’t have excuse. We have to be good teachers is our social compromise.

Review BBC

Today I learned a lot of things about vocabulary, pronunciation and phrasal verbs from BBC. I like the activities of BBC, I think is one of the best sites about learning. In the section face up to phrasals I read Freddy and Betty series and I knew the phrasal verb: "find out about ". This phrasal meaning "discover a new thing or fact", e.g. "Joaquin didn´t find out that Alf really exist until he saw in the class". But is not everything at the same time you can learn grammar, pronunciation, and improve in listening. All the episodes of this series have grammar task with examples, so is impossible don´t understand anything!!!

After a while, I was feeling so boring so I decided to look other kind of activities and I found funky phrasals. I thought, "this activity can cheer me up". Because I was very angry and sad, I had a strange feeling I don´t know how to explain. Well...I was talking about funky phrasals,
I searched about health and the most important funky phrasal that I understood was, "go down with something". e.g. " I´m going down with the cholera". I think that is all for today, bye.

Strange day

Well...I am feeling confused in this moment. The march finished terrible, maybe nobody thought that policemen could be so stupid.



I am tired, today I lived a lot of feeling and experiences, but at least this experience was good for me. Why? Because I was all the time with a beautiful woman, she is so pretty and sweet. We faced this situation together, it was the most important. However; it was not a beautiful day at all. I hated when those policemen were hitting boys and girls just because they said: "son of a bitch!!!". I read in Camilo´s facebook an important opinion about the abuse of policemen where Camilo wrote that it used to happen so 30 years ago, but today policemen fought like brainless they were totally crazy. Maybe most of them enjoyed with that, I think they did all without limits like if we were their punching bags.



Some of them... Well, only one policeman helped us when we received a tear gas canister but just was one of hundreds. This policeman gave us a kind of spray, we really need it because the place was very toxic and we were so bad.



I won´t talk more about that, but I think we have to take revenge. Maybe in a pacific way or in a dangerous way but we have to show our rights!!! "They may take our lives, but they´ll never take ....OUR FREEDOM!!!" (William Wallace).

Study habits? What is that?

I don´t have study habits but I sometimes study when I am very bored or when I have to prepare a quiz, exam or test. E.g: The other day I was waiting for someone and I arrived to subway early, and I didn´t have anything to do. So, I said: This is the moment I´ve been waiting for study. When she came, she said me: Ooh... You are studying!!! This are really happen?. If I have free time and I feel enthusiastic I can study without the need to do.

When I have to study I always prefer to read the book, and the activities, in this semester I don´t write any notes in my notebook..... yeah! I Know it´s terrible but I think is enough with the activities and the book; however, I sometimes write thing in the activity papers or on the corner of the book page.

I think study English is not so difficult like study a new subject. for example the second semester I had to study a lot in history of the education, things that I needed to memorize but with English is different, because you are always practicing so at the moment to study for a test, you only have to review.

I really think that my study habits don´t change extremely during my life, but I know that in the University you must always do your best because you can´t fail like in the school, we don´t have so opportunities like we used to have in the school, get a bad mark in an important subject with few test during the semester is difficult to overcome.

Well...... I am really boring in this moment I think I am bitter person like a Camilo, Berni, Franco, Coto. I think the bitter characteristic is contagious like a virus. I´m consider that I am a quite person and I don´t know what else, you have to get to know me!!!! I hope I talk with all my classmates this semester, make new friends, get good marks, learn a lot and that is all, friends..
